Maintainer Demand and Merge Bottleneck

Need for more maintainers

Since I became a maintainer, I’ve noticed an uptick in requests for me to do maintainership on MRs, which is interesting. This supports the idea that there’s a need for maintainers to merge, which makes sense given the company’s principle of speed with quality. We’re going to need more maintainers with the ability to merge, because AI is producing a lot of merge requests, and without that ability, nothing can move forward. So we need more maintainers to merge more quickly.
