Daily GitLab Merge Request Progress

TL;DR

  • Two merge requests got changes done; one approved and merged, another approved and moved to a second database maintainer review
  • Reviewed one merge request and in the middle of merging another, bigger and more complex one
  • Acknowledged it might have made more sense to tackle the bigger MR first, but wanted quick wins
  • Overall people are less stressed than they would’ve been without help, though the work isn’t fully done
  • Continuing to review the cron trigger schedule and UI MR which lets users configure different schedules for running flows

Overview

I made changes to two of my merge requests, and both were approved. One was approved and merged, while the other was approved and has moved on to a second database maintainer review. I also managed to review one merge request and am currently in the middle of merging another. This one is much bigger and more complex, and honestly, I probably should have tackled it first, but I wanted some quick wins along the way. That said, overall people are less stressed out than they would have been without help, so I think that counts as a good thing. Still, we need to get this to the finish line, and I’m not entirely sure yet how best to approach that. For now, I’m going to keep reviewing the cron trigger schedule and cron trigger UI MR I’m working on, which will allow users to configure different schedules for running flows—an exciting change for the product.
